St. Julian’s Bay

St. Julian’s Bay is a resort area that is found along the coastline of Malta about two kilometres up the shoreline from Valetta.  The resort city is best known for its rampant nightlife and is where most people choose to head out to for a good time.

The best way to get to St. Julian’s Bay is by catching a bus out from Valletta.  The ride takes about 45 minutes, and will save you from the hassle of attempting to find a parking spot in St. Julian’s Bay, which can be a true struggle due to the narrow streets.

St. Julian’s Bay is the closet that you will get to “wild” nightlife on the conservative Malta island. The nightlife however, satisfies most people with plenty of parties, restaurants, live music, and clubs that keep going all night.

During the day the peninsula that St. Julian’s Bay sits on boasts several beaches so swimming, scuba diving, and sunbathing are also an option.

For an exclusive stay while in St. Julian’s Bay the top rated hotel is the Penthouse St. Julian’s, which is a modern penthouse that is found close to the Bay.  It has a built in Multiplex Cinema and a shopping mall within it, as well as a bar and hairstylist.

Items of interest in St. Julian’s Bay outside of the resort hotel include the Portomaso Tower, which stands at 98m tall and is the only skyscraper in the city making it a noticeable part of the skyline.

The town of St. Julian’s Bay is split into four different districts, which at first may seem confusing but given that resort is only about two km in length it is not hard to navigate between the districts.  The districts are Paceville, Tal-Ghoqod, St. Andrew’s, and Ta Giorni.
